History Of Sivananda Yoga
Sivananda Yoga is a journey towards physical and spiritual wellness. You can experience health and energy from the world famous system of yoga developed by Swami Sivananda.
His Holiness Swami Sivananda (1887 – 1963)
One of the greatest Yoga masters of the 20th century, Swami Sivananda, is the inspiration and spiritual strength behind the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres. He wrote more than 200 books on Yoga and Meditation in English, foreseeing that the world would need Yoga. The teachings of Master Sivananda are a synthesis of all paths of yoga and summarised in these six words :-

“ Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Meditate, Realise”
Swami Vishnudevananda (1927 – 1993)
Disciple of Swami Sivananda and a renowned authority on Hatha and Raja Yoga, Swami Vishnudevananda is considered to be one of the Yoga pioneers who introduced the Yogic way of life to America and Europe. He is the author of the best selling book “The Complete Illustrated Book Of Yoga” and “Meditation and Mantras”. He is the designer of the Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course. His motto : “ Health is Wealth, Peace of Mind is Happiness, Yoga shows the way”.
